Teresa’s journey in the medical field began in her hometown, the Metro Detroit area, where she attended L’Anse Creuse High School. She went on to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the prestigious University of Michigan and later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University.
Professional Experience
Before joining Dr. Perkins’ team, Teresa gained invaluable experience working as a Registered Nurse in the Trauma/Burn ICU and Cardiac Surgery ICU at the University of Michigan Hospital for five years. Her expertise extends to working as a Nurse Practitioner in a walk-in clinic and with an orthopedic spine surgery team.

As a lifelong athlete herself, Teresa has a deep passion for sports medicine. She understands the importance of proper nutrition in athletics and overall well-being. Her personal experiences fuel her dedication to helping patients regain functionality and live pain-free lives.

When not caring for patients, Teresa enjoys spending quality time with her husband, daughter, extended family, and friends. Teresa also finds joy in traveling, cooking, and cheering for her alma mater, the University of Michigan Wolverines.
